WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
SECTION 1 – LANDSCAPING, CONSTRUCTION & CIVIL WORKS WARRANTY
1.1 Statutory Consumer Guarantees (Australian Consumer Law)
All works carried out by MC WORLD are subject to non-excludable consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
MC WORLD guarantees that:
• Services will be carried out with due care and skill
• Services will be fit for their intended purpose, where that purpose has been made known
• Services will be delivered within a reasonable time, where no timeframe is expressly stated
Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

1.2 Workmanship Warranty
MC WORLD provides a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of practical completion for landscaping, construction and civil works.
This workmanship warranty applies to:
• Retaining walls (timber, concrete sleeper, masonry)
• Fencing installations (Colorbond, timber, aluminium, pool fencing)
• Concrete works (footpaths, slabs, driveways, footings)
• Drainage installations (ag-lines, surface drainage)
• Hardscape works (paving, steps, edging)
• Softscape installation workmanship only (turf laying, planting installation)
This warranty covers defects arising solely from faulty workmanship.

1.3 Structural Works & Applicable Australian Standards
All applicable works are constructed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, including but not limited to:
• AS 2870 – Residential slabs and footings
• AS 3600 – Concrete structures
• AS 3727 – Masonry structures
• AS 1684 – Residential timber framing
• AS 1170 – Structural design actions
• Manufacturer installation specifications where applicable
Where engineering documentation is provided, works are completed in accordance with the supplied engineering drawings and specifications.

1.4 Exclusions – Landscaping & Construction
The following are expressly excluded from warranty:
• Natural movement, settlement, or shrinkage of soil, ground, or structures
• Cracking caused by ground movement, reactive soils, moisture variation, or subsidence
• Efflorescence, colour variation, or natural weathering of materials
• Damage caused by:
• Tree roots
• Storms, floods, fire, earthquakes, or extreme weather events
• Water ingress due to site conditions beyond installer control
• Damage caused by:
• Client modifications
• Third-party contractors
• Lack of maintenance
• Softscape growth performance, including:
• Turf survival
• Plant survival
• Growth rate or colour
• Wear and tear from normal use
• Damage caused by misuse or impact

1.5 Materials & Supplier Warranties
Materials supplied and installed by MC WORLD are covered only by the original manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable.
MC WORLD does not provide additional warranties beyond those offered by manufacturers.

1.6 Maintenance Requirement
Warranty claims will not be honoured where failure or damage is caused by:
• Failure to maintain drainage
• Poor site drainage
• Lack of routine maintenance
• Irrigation mismanagement
• Chemical exposure or soil contamination

1.7 Warranty Claim Process – Landscaping
To make a warranty claim:
1. Notify MC WORLD in writing
2. Provide photos and a description of the issue
3. Allow reasonable access for inspection
MC WORLD will assess whether the issue:
• Falls within workmanship warranty obligations
• Is a statutory consumer guarantee issue
• Is excluded under these terms

SECTION 2 – OUTDOOR BLINDS, ZIPSCREEN & SHADING SYSTEMS WARRANTY

2.1 Statutory Consumer Guarantees
All blind installations are subject to Australian Consumer Law (ACL) guarantees.
MC WORLD guarantees that:
• Installation is performed with due care and skill
• Installation complies with manufacturer specifications
• Products are fit for purpose when used as intended

2.2 Installation Workmanship Warranty
MC WORLD provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on blind installation from the date of completion.
This covers:
• Mounting methods
• Fixings
• Alignment
• Installation configuration
This warranty applies only to installation workmanship, not product manufacture.

2.3 Manufacturer Product Warranties
Outdoor blinds and components are covered exclusively by manufacturer warranties, including but not limited to:
• Blind fabric
• Motors
• Controls
• Tracks
• Gearboxes
• Electrical components
Manufacturer warranty periods vary and are governed by the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
MC WORLD does not extend, modify, or replace manufacturer warranties.

2.4 Electrical Compliance
Where motorised blinds are installed:
• Electrical connections are performed in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules)
• Electrical works are completed by a licensed electrician where required
• Compliance certificates are provided where applicable

2.5 Exclusions – Blinds & Shading Systems
The following are excluded from warranty:
• Damage caused by wind beyond the product’s rated wind classification
• Use of blinds during storms, high winds, or extreme weather
• Fabric distortion due to wind load or misuse
• Normal fabric wear, fading, or discolouration
• Damage caused by:
• Obstructions
• Misuse
• Impact
• Manual interference
• Electrical faults caused by:
• Power surges
• Electrical supply issues
• Third-party electrical works
• Damage caused by failure to retract blinds during adverse conditions

2.6 Client Responsibilities – Blinds
To maintain warranty validity, the client must:
• Operate blinds in accordance with manufacturer instructions
• Retract blinds in windy or storm conditions
• Maintain clean tracks and fabric
• Avoid obstruction during operation

2.7 Warranty Claim Process – Blinds
To lodge a warranty claim:
1. Contact MC WORLD in writing
2. Provide proof of installation date
3. Supply photos/videos of the issue
4. Allow access for inspection
Where a product fault is confirmed, MC WORLD will assist in lodging a claim with the manufacturer where applicable.
