Retaining Walls That Hold Up, Look Good and Last
What's included
Retaining walls do a hard job, so we build them properly from the ground up:
Concrete sleeper retaining walls with galvanised steel posts
Block retaining walls [confirm block types/brands]
Excavation and site cuts using our own Kubota VIO17 excavator
Footings, ag-line drainage and gravel backfill behind the wall
Fencing on top of the wall if you want it
Why MC World
We do the dig, the drainage and the build ourselves, so nobody's waiting on another contractor and nothing gets missed between trades. Because we're family-run and local to Bargo, we know the clay soils and sloping blocks around Macarthur and Wollondilly well. And we don't cut corners on the bits you can't see once the job's finished.
How it works
Chat and site visit. We look at the height, length, soil and access.
Quote. You get a clear written quote covering materials, drainage and clean-up.
Engineering and approvals if needed. Taller walls may need an engineer's design or council approval. [Add the height threshold and process once confirmed.]
Excavate and build. Site cut, footings, posts, sleepers or blocks, drainage and backfill.
Tidy up. Spoil removed if it's in the quote, and the site left clean.
FAQ
Sleeper or block wall: which is better?
Concrete sleepers are quick to install and great value on longer runs. Blocks give you a more solid, finished look. We'll recommend whichever suits your site.
Why does drainage matter behind a wall?
Water building up behind a wall is the number one reason walls lean or fail. Every wall we build has proper drainage behind it.
Do I need council approval?
It depends on the wall's height and where it sits on your block. We'll let you know up front. [Confirm wording with local council rules.]
